The Mahindra U301 inshore uncovered

Motorbeam has unleashed a spy shot consisting of the dashboard of the production ready Mahindra U301. The shack of the car consists of seats in beige color; the dashboard is styled in black along with silver weight. The steering wheel looks quite similar to its sibling the XUV500. The instrument panel is chromed, along with the gear knob that’s looks new too. The overall design transmits that the U301 is built for service and price over style. Motor octane has clutched the prime clear image of the machine; inshore. The Sub 4-m utility SUV is expected to be launched by the second half of this year.

It is reported to stand short if compared to the Scorpio. The machine would be loaded on with a combo of silver and chrome imbeds. The information panel comprises of two chrome ringed dials, similar to the XUV500, surrounded by changed three-spoke steering wheel, with implanted audio controls. The air vents at the center and stereo are crafted into a polygonal console that is implicative of the SX4 S-Cross. Kept below are the USB and aux-in ports, along with a 12V socket. The revolving air-con knobs on a fully-loaded test machine were noticed earlier. Suggested that even the top-end variants (like the ZLX) would not get auto climate control.

 

The model in the spy shot has a manual transmission, however the shot spied earlier also showcased an AMT. The same technology would be gifted to the Quanto this year. Once on the roads the model would be competing with the Tata Movus, Chevrolet Tavera and Tata Sumo. The estimated cost of the machine is expected to be around INR6-8 lakhs ex showroom and should be out to the roads by this yearend.
