Scania India initiates bus construction facility at Narasapura

The plant has a capacity to manufacture around 1000 buses per annum. Right after two years after releasing its first bus on the Indian Roads, Scania Commercial Vehicles India has inaugurated their bus manufacturing plant with a truck plant in Narasapura near Bangalore.

The plant has been equipped with a capacity in order to pull out a 1000 units in a year. Scania is foreseen to compete over the leader Volvo as the manufacturing in the locale, would help meeting a lot of factors well.

The unit is all set to give jobs to around 300 people to work closely for the makers. The unit would be capable of pulling out units for the Indian market as well as for the exports to Asia, Middle East, and Africa in the coming 5 years. The Brand also plans to increase the production of nearly the doubled within 2 years, like in 2017 of both trucks as well as buses. They would be targeting around 2500 units of buses and 5000 units of trucks. Currently the brand is able to produce 1000 buses and 2500 trucks. They also plan to hire around 800 people for the facility.
 
The brand manufactures three variants:12m,13.7m and 14.5m Metrolink buses, they have been imported ever since the launch in 2013. Once the manufacturing unit would be up and running, Scania would be better armed in order to complete and overcome the leader in the market like the Volvo and the recently out Magna Range by Tata Motors.
