Only one car to a family-AAP sets rules in India

Well, certainly the traffic situation in our country seems to be increasing by the day and is getting difficult to handle. Especially during the peals hours it has become extremely difficult to manage on the jam packed roads and reach work on time. There are several companies who have permitted its employees to work from home in such situations, but then there is a large section of people who can’t even opt for that The peak hours of the morning and evening have made the life in India, quite tough as an average office employee spends at least about 2-3 hours commuting to and from work on weekdays 15 kms. In order to curb this situation, the Delhi Transport Minister, Mr. Gopal Rai, is planning to advice people and understand the need of the hour and thus maintain one car per family.

This is also a part of the 7 measures taken by Mr.Arvind Kejriwal that would be promoted on the 22^nd of October, 2015, by celebrating a Car Free day! As per Mr. Rai, this is just another initiative to promote the public transport in the country, especially in a city like Delhi that is just the most accurately connected with the entire places surrounding through public transportation. This was handed over to the media as a part of an appeal to the citizens, while offering other measures like carpooling, cycling etc. the basic substance behind the whole notion is to limit down the number of cars on the roads. The basic proposal is that the people should be using just one car for the family, only when they are going somewhere together, while the rest of the work days, they can use the public transport available.

Essentially, public transport being the only solution, help and resolution in order to bring down the numbers of the pollution figure, traffic jams and the endless problems associated with them. This certainly could take time, especially in a modern era like today, when the number of cars you own depicts your status in the society and moreover when both the partners are working, travelling long distances each day to and fro work. The ministry also has a provision to roll out 2000 more buses, to ensure they are enough options to help the daily commuters. While there are terms introduced yet to make this initiative compulsory though, however the govt. has decided to make an appeal, request the citizens of the country as it is for their own benefit and for a secure future of their children.Ab Bus Karein is a new slogan in order to promote this campaign, to promote buses over cars. The slogan is Jan Parivahan - Swasthya Jeevan. On the 22^nd of October, the complete road from India Gate to Red Fort would be affirmed car-free while other modes of public transport would be made offered in adequate numbers so that the citizens do not face any problem commuting and experience the ease and the potential benefits of using public transport. Also there is a cycle rally planned for the day as well.
