Honda India has decided to a recall for the best selling Honda City sedan in the country. The recall staus of the company is getting a trend in the auto car market based in India as we have seen serveral companies are recalling its offsprings soon after its lauch. Recently Honda has launched a "recall campaign in several regions globally", due to this recall almost 3800 units of Honda City CVT version which was manufactured during February, 14 to November, 14 are recalled. The practice has been initiated to permit Honda to revise the software that manages the incessantly changeable transmission (CVT) on the exaggerated units of the Honda City. The CVT manage software will be restructured to optimize the Hydraulic Pressure functional to the CVT.
preliminary in October 24, 2015, the aforesaid software update will be done at Honda dealerships across India on free of cost basis. Honda Cars India will get in contact with the affected consumers directly. besides, customers can also visit the company's official website to ensure if their car is covered under this recall. The Honda City CVT is power-driven by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC petrol unit that offers 117bhp and a highest torque of 145Nm. The Honda City CVT's mileage is rated at 18Km/l which is so far considered as the best in class. We really need to analyse the conncept of recalling in our country, there are a certain things that skip the evaluation path during production, and as and when the concept is further analysed, and if found faulty, the govt announces for a recall. It indeed is not a bad factor at all, however it does effect the brand image, especially in India, where people are judgemental largely.
