New Volkswagen Polo GT Getting Launched in India

The Swedish car maker is planning to launch a new replacement of Polo 1.6. The performance of this new version of Polo will be much improved due to the 1.2 Liter TSI power mill that can generate power worth 105 PS. The present Polo stands back in terms of power and potential as compared to the new model. Also, this new Polo will be the first hatchback that will adorn a turbocharged petrol engine along with direct fuel injection. This engine will be coupling with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission gearbox. Unfortunately, although this automatic gearbox will get a manual overdrive function but the car will be devoid of any paddle shifters. Due to this feature, the Volkswagen Polo GT mileage and safety aspect would receive a boost.

As far as the exterior front of the car is concerned, the TSI tech and GT badge would embellish the hatchback. Both the badges will be present on boot lid and front grille. Apart from this feature, the car will not bear any exterior modifications. On the interior front, to mark the addition of these new features there will be sporty white stitching on the gear knobs, seats, and the foot pedals will be bearing aluminum covers.

TSI will not be perturbing the 1.2 liter petrol power source that was already being adorned by the previous Polo. This engine is enough capable of delivering power worth 75 PS. The model bearing this engine will bear maximum price among all other trims of this hatchback. Although no word has yet been given on the Volkswagen Polo GT price in India but we expect this new version price to be in par with the previous one. The bookings for this car have been opened up by Volkswagen and the car is being offered in three new tones – white, black, and red.
