McLaren P1 50 Years Celebration with Relais and Chateaux
McLaren P1 celebrates 50 years with Relais & Chateaux, also plans to showcase 12C and 12C Spider sports car.
The latest version McLaren P1 features all the know-how that has been gathered by the British carmaker in last half century about aerodynamics and light weight carbon fiber stuff. A 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 petrol power mill and an electric motor are what jointly represent the McLaren P1 specifications in terms of power. Together these two power sources provide the car a top speed of 350 kmph. The car slides from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7 seconds and crosses the 300 kmph mark in just 17 seconds. It is one of the most technologically developed race car of the world that has been bestowed with the title of the fastest racing car of the world.
McLaren has recently released one of the two videos that it planned to reveal on the aerodynamics of this car. The video has been entitles with “Designed by Air” and gives a keen insight in the aerodynamics of the car. It showcases the airflow that one can feel and partially see when the car speeds up on the road. The next video that will be released next month will expose desktop and table users with an interactive experience.
McLaren for this year got associated with Relais & Chateaux for its yearly Diner des Grands Chefs that will be held on 22nd April at the Old Billingsgate, London. This celebration is part of the grand celebration that is taking place on occasion of the 50th anniversary of McLaren. McLaren also plans to showcase 12C and 12C Spider sports cars on this occasion. To support the Action Against Hunger charity McLaren has donated a Pure McLaren driving experience. It will auctioned tonight at the “money can’t buy experiences” auction. The winner will receive a training on driving skills from McLaren GT driving instructors at a car racing circuit along with a complete hospitality package.
