Ever since it was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Maruti Suzuki’s funky looking compact crossover, the new Ignis, has been among the most anticipated cars for the Indian market on both diesel and petrol. Now, when it has confirmed that the Ignis will be launched in the country on January 13, 2017. The new Ignis various variant-wise feature distribution of the hatchback has been revealed. When launched, Maruti Ignis varients will not only rival the Mahindra KUV100 but the Hyundai Grand i10 as well in 2016 Auto Expo. Expect the Ignis to be launched at a starting price of around Rs 4.5 lakh in the market.
The new Maruti Suzuki Ignis will become the latest one, and the least expensive offering from NEXA when it is launched in India on January 13, 2017. A brochure of the new Ignis car has already been leaked in India explaining the different variants of the car. The new Ignis will be available in four different variants like Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The Sigma variant of the Ignis will only be offered as a petrol version while the other three will be offered with both, petrol and diesel options.
Sigma
The first version of Ignis, Sigma variant will be offered as a petrol 1.2 litre and transmissions 5 speed manual, manual gearbox variant that will get air conditioning, tilt adjust steering, 12V power outlet, front power windows of the driver side auto down, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, driver seatbelt reminder, speed sensing door locks and 15-inch steel wheels.
Delta
Apart from all the specification present in the Sigma variant, the Delta variant will be available on petrol and diesel version as 1.2-litre Petrol and1.3-litre Diesel with Transmissions Available – 5-speed Manual/AMT and equipped with turn indicators on wing mirrors, dual-tone dashboard, 2-DIN Audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, two speakers, steering-mounted controls, tachometer, keyless entry, electric adjust wing mirrors, split-folding rear seat, rear power windows with security alarm. The new Ignis Delta variant will also be available with both, a manual and an AMT gearbox.
Zeta
The new Zeta variant of the Ignis will also be Available – 1.2-litre Petrol/1.3-litre Diesel and Transmissions Available – 5-speed Manual/AMT, offered on both a manual gearbox, and AMT. Apart from that, it will get fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, four speakers and two tweeters, electric folding wing mirrors, keyless go, rear parking sensors and rear defogger with wiper over and all above features present in the Sigma and Delta variants.
Alpha
The New Ignis Alpha variant will be available Engines with – 1.2-litre Petrol/1.3-litre Diesel Transmissions Available – 5-speed Manual with a manual gearbox only and including all the features of Sigma, Delta and Zeta. It will get LED projector headlamps with DRLs, puddle lamps, auto climate control, SmartPlay infotainment system with remote app, driver's seat height adjust and a reversing with camera.
The new Ignis bookings are already open and interested buyers can book it by paying a booking amount Rs 11,000 in Indian market.
