Mahindras Auto Sector sells 39611 units during December 2013

India’s Leading SUV Manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M & M Ltd.) Announced its Auto sales for December 2013, company sold 39,611 units.

In the passenger Vehicle segment (which include UVS and Verito) sold 16,436 units in December 2013, as against 22,761 units during December 2012 .It reports to 28 % decline in sales. Company’s domestic sales during December 2013 were 36,881 comparatively company sold 42307 units in December 2012 and sales decline by 13 %.

.In 4 wheeler commercial segment company has sold 14,399 units while 3 wheeler segments reported 5,606 units in December 2013.

Speaking on the monthly performance, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “During the first nine months of the current fiscal, the auto Industry has seen a negative growth due to sustained deceleration in economic activity and consequent weakness in consumer and business sentiments. While the immediate turnaround in the auto Industry is not expected without certain policy corrections and support, the worst seems to be over. At Mahindra we continue to focus on customer centricity and do hope that the New Year will bring in the much needed cheer for the Auto Sector”.
