Mahindra that has been out if the lime light for quite some time now, it’s all happy and content to present the market, with the trending compact SUVs segment, and that too 3 in its kitty. Right now the brand is working on the refurbished Quanto that is expected to roll out to the market in the coming months. According to the reports, the new Quanto would be sport its own identity, sporting an all new Mahindra SUV style layout for the fore. Inshore as well there would be significant changes in the lounge with better and latest equipment.
Leaving the superficial changes apart, the car would be sporting updates under the body, in terms of M&M’s next-gen ladder chassis which uses hydro-forming to provide it a stiffer, more lightweight layout. This new construction is already on job in the new Scorpio and has greatly helped improving its driving details; we expect the updated Quanto to follow the same. In terms of power configuration, the Quanto facelift will continue with the 1.5L three-cylinder diesel unit and for the first time, an automated-manual transmission-equipped model would also be on offer.
Also the Brand is dedicated towards working on the new upcoming SUVs, U301 and S101. As the market is already eyeing for compact SUV this season, both the model should be out on the Indian Roads within some time in year only.
The S101, is based upon the monocoque architecture and the U301 is a 4-meter SUV based on a ladder frame set up, powered by a 1.5 L motor that would be out with a manual and an automated gearboxes. We also have reports claiming the U301 to be equipped with an AWD later in the vehicle.
