Mahindra Reva export to Europe is soon going to become a common phrase in Indian headlines. As the brand is planning to move its electric car to Europe. The news was confirmed by a senior company official recently.
The Chief Of Operations of Mahindra Reva confirmed that they are planning to export Reva to Europe from the coming year. At present they are working on the regulatory framework of the Electric Vehicles in association with the European Union. As soon as the process is complete they will begin the export process he added further.
The company recently launched its car e2o in Chandigarh. This EV is being offered at an EMI of Rs.12, 805 on the low end model of the EV. The Operations Chief refused to provide any information on the number of booking received so far by the company for e2o.
Mahindra is mainly planning to target big cities for promoting this vehicle. They will be mainly targeting all metro cities in order to find buyers for this car. The car will be available on all Mahindra sales outlets in all these cities Mr. Chandramouli added further.
When asked about the subsidies being provided by state governments on eco-friendly cars, he replied that it was only the Delhi Government that provided subsidies on these vehicles. The subsidy provided on these vehicles in New Delhi is 15 % by Delhi Government.
The car has been equipped with lithium-ion batteries and in single charging it can cover a distance of 100 kms. The car also bears a regenerative braking aspect that allows it to recharge the car batteries. The batteries are recharged whenever brakes are applied or car is driven in slow mode.
