Mahindra inaugurate manufacturing in Zaheerabad

Mahindra & Mahindra inaugurates its extended automotive manufacturing facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana. The unit has been inaugurated by the chief minister of Telangana, Sh. K Chandrashekhar Rao. The plant has been set up in order to manufacture its new small commercial vehicle, that is nick named P601 and there are intentions to launch in during the first half of this current year.

 

There has been an invest if INR 250 Crore, into this plant and it would be producing around 92,000 new vehicles annually. There are reports of this number to be increased so as to meet the demands. The brand has initially set up a plant in Zaheerabad back in 2013, for making tractors, and the unit is doing great with a production of 3,500 units per annum.

 

 

Reports are speculated for the plant to make sun-one-tone commercial vehicles that consist of models like 4 wheel load and passenger, on top of the UVs, LCVs, and 3 wheelers that are already into production.

 

 

It has been quoted by Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, the Zaheerabad facility comprises an adjustable and buoyant entrance to making which would make sure that it is able to respond quickly to demanding customer needs. With the investment of over Rs. 1,100 crore till date and jobs generation of over 3,500 between both our tractor and auto plants, they are decidedly invested in the state of Telangana.
