Hyundai domestic sales up in May by effect of Xcent-Grand and Santa Fe
Hyundai India has registered the domestic sales of 35,205 units and exports of 15, 53 units with cumulative sales of 51,718 units for the month of May 2014.
Hyundai Motors India Limited is a wholly subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company. Hyundai Motors India Limited is the largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India. The Company has announced the domestic sales up by 12.8% in May 2014. Hyundai India has registered the domestic sales of 35,205 units and exports of 15, 53 units with cumulative sales of 51,718 units for the month of May 2014.
Hyundai India recently introduces 10 car models across in the A2 segment- Econ, Santro, i10, i20, Grand and Xcent. 2014 Verna has introduces in A3 segment and Elantra in the A4 segment. The Company has received good feedback from customers and dealers for introducing new SUV segment Santa Fe and A5 segment Sonata.
Commenting on the May sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said, “Hyundai with a volume of 36,205 units has grown by 12.8% over last year which is in line with this year’s objective to grow in market share and volume. The phenomenal success of Xcent, Grand and Santa Fe increased volumes creating positive momentum. We foresee to maintain this positive trend by strengthening our product portfolio and improving channel efficiencies.”
