Alfa Romeo Unveils 4C Sports Coupe
Alfa Romeo Motors is planning to come up on the stage with the 4C sports coupe global debut at Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. Alfa Romeo made this sports coupe with an all-carbon fibre monocoque body with the front and rear frames being made of aluminium.
Alfa Romeo Motors is planning to come up on the stage with the 4C sports coupe’s global debut at Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. Italian auto giant is ready with the production model of 4C sports coupe that carries stunning design and retains unique elements displayed on its concept version two years back. Alfa Romeo made this sports coupe with an all-carbon fibre monocoque body with the front and rear frames being made of aluminium.
It is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.75-litre turbocharged engine that is similar to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde. The 1750cc engine comes with a new aluminum block and sincerely-designed intake and exhaust manifolds along with direct injection system and dual continuous valve timing. This engine is coupled with a TCT twin dry clutch transmission featuring an auto and a sequential mode with steering mounted paddle shifters transmitting the power to the rear wheels.
Apart from Dynamic' Natural and All Weather modes' Alfa Romeo 4C comes with an additional ‘Race’ mode designed to improve the handling of the sports coupe on track driving. Company says 4C has a weight-to-power ratio of less than 4 kg/ and is expected to hit U.S. dealerships by the end of this year and will be created in limited number of units at Maserati’s plant. Indian launch for Alfa Romeo 4C sports coupe is ruled out in the near future.
