Revealing The Hero Splendor Ismart

Following its predominance in the Indian Market, Hero MotoCorp has added another feather to their jeweled cap, with the maker’s latest machine, the 100cc Splendor iSmart. It has been proved and termed as the most fuel efficient motorcycle in its segment producing a mileage of 102.5Kmpl of petrol.

 

This has been listed out by the norms of iCAT (International Centre of Automotive Technology), under the Indian Government. All the mandatory tests have been conducted as per the industry norms and the Rule 115 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989.

 

With a par in these test the Here iSmart has come ahead of the Bajaj Platina ES, as the most fuel efficient production motorcycle in India. The Splendor gets it power by a four-stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, 97.2cc dynamo, paired with a four-speed gear cluster, producing out 7.8PS of power and 8.04Nm of Force. This particular bike is the first product by the Hero Motors to comprise of the i3S (Ideal Start Stop) system. Thanks to this new technology, the bike would shut itself when idle and start with just another press at the clutch lever.

 

3 lakhs units have been sold so far, ever since its launch. Out in two variants, one with spoke wheels and the other with alloy wheels. The machine has been interestingly priced at INR 50,000 and 51,100 respectively for both the variants. Also quoted by the brand, that the i3S technology would be equipped in other upcoming models too in future.
