Mahindra Mojo much in demand- price hikes by INR 5000

The ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Mojo has been hiked by INR 5000, in all the states of the country, while its on road price would now be INR 6000 more than its usual pricing earlier. While the bike was rolled out earlier in the month of October, 2015, carrying a price tag of INR 1.58 lakh, being the ex-showroom cost in the capital. The company has intended to offer a discount for the first 100 customers, along with some more additional benefits like a two-year nation-wide Road Side Assistance package along with an extended warranty for three years above the regular coverage that is usually for two years. The price discount offer was extended until the festive season, until Diwali. The Mahindra Mojo, ABS model will be hurled in the month of April 2016, as per sources.
While being placed in a defined segment being a sub-INR 2 lakh true-blue tourer bike, the Mahindra Mojo is enriched carrying a 300 cc liquid-cooled solo-cylinder unit along with a DOHC that churns out a 27 bhp of peak power @ 8,000 rpm along with a 30 Nm of maximum torque @ 6,000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The most outstanding aspects of the Mahindra Mojo comprise of an inverted telescopic fork accumulated by Paioli, a stubby monoshock, a 320 mm disc rotor at the fore along with a four-piston J.Juan caliper, a 240 mm disc plate at the back end carrying a twin-pot J.Juan caliper, 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 and 150/60 Pirelli Diablo Rosso II radial tyres and a 21-litre fuel tank. While the bike has been giving a decent response in the market, it still needs to be seen whether the price hike would interrupt its sale, however customers already knew that until Diwali the bike was on a discounted offer and would be reviewed in terms of pricing post to that.
