First Hybrid Scooter Hero Leap will launch soon in India
Hero electric hybrid scooter, Hero leap was unveiled at 2012 Auto Expo and is expected to launch soon before TVS Qube.
India’s first electric hybrid concept scooter, Hero leap was first unveiled by Hero MotoCorp at 2012 Auto Expo. The scooter’s concept was developed at R&D department of company at Gurgaon. New innovative features are added to this technologically advanced scooter.
Scooter will run on two sources, electric power and petrol. While using both sources of energy the scooter gives the maximum economy. As per design is concerned, this hybrid scooter is way ahead of its generation and time, which was treated as the scooter with futuristic styling by the company.
The scooter possess many salient features like wide central compartment with storage tray and integrated luggage rack, petrol based range extender, nine design registrations, three technology patents, rechargeable battery management system, adjustable seats, LED turn Signals, Dual LED headlamp consuming minimum power, Large diameter front wheel, daylight running lamps, instrument cluster with LCD display etc.
With all these features in the hybrid scooter, the scooter will make a revolution in the market for India’s largest motorcycle manufacturer company, Hero Motocorp. The launch date is not decided for this hybrid scooter but the company wants to enjoy the sales of nation’s first hybrid scooter soon as TVS is also planning to launch their first hybrid scooter, Qube in Indian markets.
These scooters are expensive due to the technology used in the scooters, but if the government will provide good subsidiary and incentives on these scooters, they will be a good alternative to the fossil fuels.
