Bajaj up to launch two Pulsars by this October
Pulsar, the number one sports bike in India, will soon launch two sports bikes this year
Bajaj Auto will officially launch ‘Pulsar’ in fully faired versions. The launch will take place by October 2013. This will be the first time for company to bring up fully faired versions. The company doesn’t do much in Auto Expo, so one needn’t to wait to look these new sporty Pulsars. Looking at the slight decrease in sales, Bajaj aimed to enhance sales. Since the start of this year, the company has continued with its plan to launch two Pulsars in 2013.
It is heard that both upcoming Pulsars will get full fairing. However, if this happens, it is going to attract a new genus of buyers, giving more importance to style, rather than performance. The fairing helps in giving better aerodynamics at high speed but increases its weight.
Out of two new faired Pulsars, one is certainly Pulsar 375, having 373cc engine, also present in recently launched KTM Duke 390. This engine can produce 40 BHP power and 32 Nm torque. So according to present data, we could expect Pulsar 375 of around Rs 1.5 lakhs. And the other one could be 180cc or 200cc Pulsar costing around Rs 1.1 lakhs.
No matter, what new Pulsars are coming with, they are definitely going to compete with well-known bikes like Honda CBR150R, Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR250R.
