BAIC 500 and 900 Concepts Looking Cool But Little Info Offer
BAIC Concept 500 and 900 showcased at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
The Chinese Auto Maker BAIC recently launched its two new concept models at the 2013 Shanghai International Automotive Show. Although not much information was shared for the BAIC concept 900 and 500 but the models seem attractive and pretty unique.
BAIC 500 features mainly signaled of a design study and the possibilities of this model entering a production phase seem very less. The vehicle seems like a tribute to the Beijing BJ212 SUV. The car looks quite robust and complete and seems that its style has been inspired from several other models like Toyota FJ Cruiser, Land Rover Range Rover, and others.
BAIC 900, on the other side, looks much like a svelte sedan. Our friends from Ward’s Auto reports report that the platform that has been used for building this car is the same one that was used for Mercedes-Benz E Class. The power source of the car is a V6 power mill. Ward also says that this model also gives cues about the next generation BAIC luxury models. The large carbon fiber doors that the concept car is adorning wouldn’t be part of production model.
