BMW M4 New Looks preview
Car maker BMW is now ready to launch BMW M4 at 2014 Detroit Motor Show next January.
The new BMW M4 and next generation BMW M3 are being expected by all the car enthusiasts around the world. BMW has gone with several modification enhancements for the new 4-series. Earlier, the debut for next generation M3 was expected till the end of this year. But now it seems that BMW will unveil both cars, the next generation M3 and M4 at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show next January.
The performance package includes an aero kit, modified suspensions and several interior trim upgrades. The wheels are of 20-inch induced with 225/35 front and 225/30 rear low-profit tyres, and also with considerable increase in power and torque for two direct-injection engines which 4-series will have in North America. The official BMW dealers will keep an option for customers to take complete package or pick up individual items.
BMW M4 have gone through ample changes including deeper front bumper coupled with a carbon-fiber splitter and magnified air ducts, LED filled Xenon headlamps and chrome trims all over exterior. It also includes air breather trim along the flakes, tail pipes, grille and window surrounds. It also has wider sills, a rear bumper with air extraction ducts, a diffuser and carbon-fiber rear spoiler. The exterior mirrors are of carbon-fiber.
The inside of this luxurious car includes a three-spoke steering wheel, heavily outlined sport seats and other things will be opened up with public in approaching Frankfurt Auto Show by BMW.
According to BMW, 4 series package includes 12KW and 40Nm to the 420d coupe’s standard turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder diesel engine, which can raise output to 147KW and 420Nm. BMW says the 4-series package adds 27 hp and 29 lb-ft to the 428i coupe's standard 2.0-liter turbo four, providing it an extra 34 hp and 37 lb-ft to bolster output to 336 hp and 332 lb-ft.
BMW says that increased power comes from software revisions and new systems on both engines, which gives appreciable increase in performance without any increase in fuel consumption.
